A ton of severe storms came through Oklahoma last night

At the beginning of last night's crazy storm. Twisters all over the state and one at the edge of town. It skipped main town and came by us. Several more rotating clouds were over us later. Rotation here is like a tornado in the sky.

MASTER BATOR

Times Read: 842

I think it would be cool to be able to make a title for under our name, if we are PM's. Like, instead of DOMINAR, it would read something like, DOMESTIC GODDESS, or MASTER BATOR. We can make up our own titles. I mean, if we don't already have one that is. I obviously don't any longer. :P

I was looking through the forum again and noticed that the new stickys are used for dominars to post their own threads at the top for others to view, where they won't drop in order. Hmm...I wish I had a sticky to keep MY threads at the top of the page for others to go to the most.

More Celtic stuff for me to log

09:45 Mar 12 2008
Times Read: 896

Ah, ok, since I am born at the tail end of the Celtic Hawthorn, I am in the Hornbeam influence, which describes another part of me, that was very much like the other site.

June 4-June 9: Those born between these two dates also fall under the lesser influence of a secondary tree...the Hornbeam, whose motto is "Monument of Loyalty" or "The Good Taste." Hornbeam individuals possess a cool beauty and exquisite taste. Although Hornbeams are concerned about their appearance, they are far from egotistical. They like their reasonable and disciplined lives to be as comfortable as possible. Hornbeam people look for kindess and acknowledgment in an emotional partner, though they are seldom happy with their own personal feelings. They are prone to mistrust and are never sure about the decisions they make, although they are the most conscientious characters. There is a tendency for Hornbeams to shoulder the responsibility for mistakes of others, it being more important in their eyes to promote tolerance and maintain harmony rather than respect rigid rules which demand a scapegoat.

I am an Oak

09:14 Mar 12 2008
Times Read: 898

Ok, on this other Celtic sign site, I am an Oak. Both descriptions sound like me. So I guess I will go with both.

The Oak Tree

24 May - 20 June

The Oak was the sacred tree of the Druids, symbolizing truth and steadfast knowledge. Doors made of Oak were thought to keep out evil. Oak people are determined, self-motivated, enthusiastic and responsible. Natural leaders, they remain calm in a crisis and are not easily swayed by opposition. Although serious minded, they are cheerful and optimistic and do not give up easily.

The Ruling Deity - The Father of all Gods, The Dagda rules this sign.

The Druic Animal - The Wren, the Celtic king of the birds, symbolizes wit and subtlety - Oaks must temper pride with humor or they become pompous and over bearing.

Planetary Ruler - Jupiter

Ogham Word - Duir

A few days in my life

09:10 Mar 12 2008
Times Read: 899

I may do the chicken gig this weekend. Danny's boss wanted me to dress in the chicken costume and stand out by the Schwans truck while they do a promo chicken sale. Since I do a lot of entertaining things, Danny thought I might want to do it. Lots of people are drawn to the suit, oddly, especially the kids. They want me to do the chicken dance, and some call me Big Bird. Haha.....

Brother Justin will be coming over again for LOST. There are only 2 more of this part of the season and then a short break to film more. Thanks writers strike. Justin has been coming over every week to watch the show with us. He is still living out there in the country where Mom was. Dad took out the satellite, so now no TV. He finally got his way with Mom gone.

So we give Justin gas money and feed him, give him some food to take home and get clothes here and there. Danny told Mom he would take care of Justin. He doesn't have a job yet. It's driving Dad crazy.

This Sunday is my Mom's birthday, March 16th. *sigh* Justin will be here for it and I was thinking of getting a cake and putting candles on it. She and I loved that whipped icing that are on the cakes at Wal-Mart. I always get those, and I can't get enough of that cake. We got one for Harmony's 18th with a baby picture on it. I should post it.

18. Wow. She is 18. Only a mere 18 years ago, I was 2 weeks overdue with her and 16 hours in labor.

I told Justin that I was going to buy myself something for Mom's birthday, because after all, Mom would want us to live for today. ;)

My brother Josh drunk dialed me last night and had to tell me all about his drunken sexual one night stand and how dirty she was. A "dirty girl". I gave him advice on how to play it cool and write her a casual message on myspace. I wish they had had myspace when I was a teen. Josh is far from teen though, he is 33. Josh is a lonely guy and never has one night stands. He needs a girlfriend.

He said he might come over this weekend, and at first I thought it was because of Mom's birthday and all of us being together, but no, it was because the dirty chick lived here. Oh.

Have you seen the site where you can confess anything? I thought that was a neat idea.

So.

Here is where you can confess a secret, either about yourself or someone else. Of course no names. Just start it with, "Someone I know ______.", or "I know someone that ________.". Nobody will know if it was you or someone else. Doesn't matter really anyway.

Mary Ann of 'Gilligan's Island' Caught With Marijuana in Car

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

AP/Teton County Sheriff's Department

DRIGGS, Idaho — Perhaps they should have called her Mary Jane.

A surprise birthday party for Dawn Wells, the actress who played Mary Ann on "Gilligan's Island," ended with a nearly three-hour tour of the Teton County sheriff's office and jail when the 69-year-old was caught with marijuana in her vehicle while driving home.

Wells is now serving six months' unsupervised probation for the crime. She was sentenced Feb. 29 to five days in jail, fined $410.50 and placed on probation after pleading guilty to one count of reckless driving.

The guilty plea came as part of an agreement with prosecutors in which three misdemeanor counts — driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance — were dropped.

The case began the night of Oct. 18, when Teton County sheriff's Deputy Joseph Gutierrez arrested Wells as she was driving home from a surprise birthday party. She posted $4,000 bond and was arraigned on the charges the following day, pleading not guilty. A trial on the matter was scheduled for March 13, but was canceled because of the plea agreement.

According to the sheriff's office report, Gutierrez pulled Wells over after noticing her swerve across the fog lines and center lines of State Highway 33 and repeatedly speed up and slow down.

"I exited my patrol vehicle and immediately was able to smell a strong odor of burning marijuana," Gutierrez wrote in his report. "As I approached the vehicle I noticed all four window (sic) of the vehicle were lowered and the female driver was not wearing a jacket."

When Gutierrez asked why he could smell marijuana, Wells reportedly told him that she'd just given a ride to three hitchhikers and had dropped them off when they began smoking something. When Gutierrez searched the car, he found three half-smoked joints in the ashtray and console, according to the report. A second search after Wells' arrest netted a fourth half-smoked joint and two small cases used to store marijuana, Gutierrez said.

After Wells failed a field sobriety test, she was handcuffed and taken to the sheriff's office.

Wells' attorney, Ron Swafford, of Idaho Falls, told the Post Register that a friend of Wells' voluntarily testified that he'd left a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle after having used the vehicle that day, and that Wells was unaware of it.

Swafford said several witnesses were prepared to testify that Wells had very little to drink at the party and was not intoxicated when she left. He said she was swerving on the road because she was trying to find the heater controls in her new car.

Wells is the founder of the Idaho Film and Television Institute in Driggs and the organizer of the region's annual family movie festival called the Spud Fest.

I hear Gilligan himself has a place not too far from where I live and he is supposedly quite the toker himself. This whole time I thought they were just acting that way for the camera haha.

Need more members at the Rave meet-up in New Orleans.

I just heard cats run under the house and have a cat fight...and hit some pipes or something under there. The whore cat that is around here had two kittens. So now I will be taking care of those and standing in the old Wal-Mart parking lot, on the corner, with a FREE KITTENS sign. I said I wouldn't be taking care of anymore kittens. But if we don't, they will be wild and hang out here....and breed...and eat...

Stabb closed a thread in the cat box called, "where ur from". And while your is not spelled correctly, I thought it was an interesting thread. I liked seeing where everyone was from. He said there was no use for a thread like this. I don't always remember where everyone is from and it was neat seeing where everyone was from at a glance. Sure shows that Rave is around the world.

Besides, there are tons of stupid ass threads in there that stay.

I am by no means a fan of the "gay" scene. I have nothing against homosexuals, everyone can do whatever they want to who ever they want as long as it doesn't involve me. But this person is an idiot, I like how she compares it to terrorists or islam, stupid scare mongering tactics.

Quotes I found that are rockin'!

11:14 Mar 07 2008
Times Read: 943

We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals.

Animals suffer as much as we do.

True Humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them.

It is our duty to make the whole world recognise this.

Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, Humanity will not find peace.

- A. Schweitzer

I care not much for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.

~ Abraham Lincoln

Animals give me more pleasure through the viewfinder of a camera than they ever did in the crosshairs of a gunsight. And after I've finished "shooting," my unharmed victims are still around for others to enjoy. I have developed a deep respect for animals. I consider them fellow living creatures with certain rights that should not be violated any more than those of humans.

~ Jimmy Stewart

If we cut up beasts simply because they cannot prevent us and because we are backing our own side in the struggle for existence, it is only logical to cut up imbeciles, criminals, enemies, or capitalists for the same reasons.

~C.S. Lewis

Lisa: "Do we have ANY food that wasn't brutally slaughtered?"

Homer: "Well, I think the veal died of loneliness."

~ Matt Groening.

Why should man expect his prayer for mercy to be heard by what is above him when he shows no mercy to what is below him?.

- Pierre Troubetzkoy.

I don't know why but farts are funny to me.

A whole page of them, I found, and if you roll over the play button, it plays them for you. I am partial to fart 2. I am looking for just the right one to set as my ringtone. Right now I have the line from Idiocracy, "Go 'way, I'm batin'!".

I know, infantile. Another side of me.

There is a thread in the cat box about salvation...

Where a chick talks about how one of her family members commited suicide. She wanted to know what people thought of that. Some said it was a sin, some didn't. Of course I had to put my 2 cents in.

I do not believe in sin. I believe you simply are and you simply are not. Things are meant to be a certain way and things that happen, are meant to happen, to learn from them. I do not believe in damnation for acting on your free will, no matter what it is. Karma. It is meant to be.

Now there are horrible things that happen in this world and I am not saying it's right or wrong. It's not up to me to judge anyway, nor is it anyone else's.

My beloved Mom committed suicide just a few months ago. It has been so hard on us all. Mom and I were best friends and so we were very close. We adored each other.

My Mom was a beautiful person but had many physical ailments. It is heartbreaking to think of the choice she had to make, between taking her life, or living a short while longer, having to drive an hour to dialysis, sitting there for 5 hours, driving an hour back, 3 times a week, plus, having congestive heart failure, and waiting to have a heart attack or limitied breathing until she had a heart attack, and not being able to walk and catch her breath. Plus, trying to start and maintain insulin shots, with diabetes. And then in a year, have an operation to connect arteries in her arm and remove the tube in her chest for future dialysis.

Is this living? Mom loved us dearly and we all had so much fun. But we don't blame her for deciding to end it now. It was her choice and it was a hard one to make. She was a strong person and a wonderful mother.

Get my point? Who presumes to guess what God would say? That's the trouble with religious people. They all think they know what God would say and do. They break their own rules when it suits them. And we all see it, but they don't seem to.

PS--Oh and had just recently had her good kidney removed due to kidney cancer, a few days before she passed.

My mother before she died told me that I am free to kill myself. Once you realize that that is true, and you live only 'cause you choose to live, there is a different way of looking at the world.

To be an American...

06:51 Mar 04 2008
Times Read: 979

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

I read your journal. You seem to have a patriotic side to you, that is hard for me to understand. In our little country, no great cause inspired European settlement. Self government came without the necessity to fight for it. Federation was at most a elegant compromise.

With no pilgrims, war of independence, or civil war, I guess it is hard to understand patriotism, or to be proud.

Learn to let go

“To attain knowledge, add things every day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day.”

-- Lao Tzu

How do we take something away? As we cultivate higher awareness, we begin to see just how much we have added things that really aren’t there to our picture of reality. Our beliefs, concepts and emotions all add layers of meaning to physical reality, but that meaning exists for us only – it has no objective existence. For example, the word ‘mother’ has a complicated network of meaning for each of us.

Become aware of how your beliefs and emotions colour your perception of different events in your life. See if you can begin to step out of your fabrications to experience the truth and spaciousness of what is.

“When guilt rears its ugly head confront it, discuss it and let it go. The past is over. … Forgive yourself and move on.”

-- Bernie S. Siegel

Three Things to Think About:

1. Cows

2. The Constitution

3. The Ten Commandments

C O W S

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls.

But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

T H E 1 0 C O M M A N D M E N T S

The real reason that we can't have the Ten

Commandments posted in a courthouse is this:

You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal,' 'Thou

Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile

work environment .
